Biofilm is often found in cooling systems and process water systems and can cause big problems. It can generate the growth of legionella bacteria and other hazardous bacteria. Moreover, it can cause lines to clog up. This is why the AQ Group offers you Neuthox.
What is Neuthox?
When bacteria such as Escherichia coli are exposed to NEUTHOX, they lose their viability in less than 100 milliseconds. Escherichia coli is the main cause of food and water transferred infections in humans. Besides destroying bacteria, Neuthox is effective in breaking down biofilm which protects bacteria from the attack of, among others, hypochlorous acid.
NEUTHOX is an effective disinfectant for most bacteria which cause infections in humans, such as:
- Legionella pneumophila
- Vibrio vulnificus
- Escherichia coli
- Listeria monocytogenes
- Salmonella enterica
- Campylobacter jejuni
DCW generators can be configured to produce two solutions:
- Cathox (a solution consisting of mainly hydroxide)
- Neuthox (the disinfectant containing, among others, hypochlorous acid)
Neuthox can be dosed into your system directly or into a buffer tank in case of the need being variable. In the last case, a sensor-controlled pump adjusts the doses to the biological load in your system. The only requirements our generators need to function are an input of salt, water and electricity. The generators are driven by a PLC with an easy to operate HMI (human machine interface) allowing the end user to regulate the pH value of the Neuthox accurately and to guard the correct dosages for specific purposes.
